- 12 Dungeness crabs (about 2 lbs each), cleaned and halved, or 2 lbs crab clusters
- 28 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 310 cloves garlic, minced
- 42 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 51/4 cup dry white wine
- 61/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 71/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 8Salt and black pepper
- 9Crusty bread for serving

If using live crab, steam for 10 minutes until bright red. If using pre-cooked crab clusters, they just need to be heated through.

Melt butter in a large, wide skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 2–3 minutes until garlic is fragrant and lightly golden. Add white wine and cook 2 minutes. Add lemon juice.

Add crab pieces to the pan and toss to coat in the garlic butter. Cover and cook 5–7 minutes, tossing once or twice, until crab is heated through and the sauce is absorbed into the shells. Season with salt and pepper. Scatter parsley over top. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the butter sauce.
