- 14 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 23/4 cup thick Greek yogurt
- 32 tablespoons neutral oil
- 41 tablespoon lemon juice
- 52 teaspoons Kashmiri red chili powder
- 61 teaspoon garam masala
- 71 teaspoon coriander powder
- 81/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 94 cloves garlic, minced
- 101-inch ginger, grated
- 11Salt to taste
- 12Lemon wedges, mint chutney, and sliced onions for serving
Instructions
- 1
Combine yogurt, oil, lemon juice, Kashmiri chili powder, garam masala, coriander, turmeric, garlic, ginger, and salt. Coat salmon fillets thoroughly and marinate 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- 2
Preheat broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil and grease well. Place salmon skin-side down. Broil 4–5 inches from the element for 8–10 minutes until the marinade is charred at the edges and the fish is cooked through.
- 3
For extra char, increase broiler and broil an additional 2 minutes. The salmon should have dark tikka spots on the surface and be just opaque in the center. Serve with mint chutney, sliced onions, and lemon wedges.
