- 11 loaf thick-cut Texas toast or French bread, sliced 1-inch thick
- 2½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 34 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
- 42 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 5½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 6¼ teaspoon salt
- 7¼ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 8Pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Beat softened butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and red pepper flakes until smooth and well combined. For extra-garlicky bread, add the garlic to the butter ahead of time and let it sit 30 minutes at room temperature — the garlic infuses the butter completely.
- 2
Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each bread slice, all the way to the edges. Place butter-side up on a baking sheet. Sprinkle Parmesan over the top of each slice.
- 3
Bake at 425°F for 8–10 minutes until the butter is fully melted and absorbed into the bread and the Parmesan is golden and slightly crispy. For extra crispiness, broil on high for the final 1–2 minutes, watching closely. Serve immediately while hot.
