- 11½ lbs 80/20 ground beef
- 2½ cup plain breadcrumbs
- 3¼ cup whole milk
- 41 large egg
- 53 cloves garlic, minced
- 61 teaspoon onion powder
- 71 teaspoon salt
- 8½ teaspoon black pepper
- 9¼ cup honey
- 10¼ cup Frank's Red Hot sauce
- 112 tablespoons soy sauce
- 121 tablespoon butter
- 131 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 14Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Soak breadcrumbs in milk 5 minutes. Combine ground beef, panade, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper; mix gently. Roll into 1.5-inch balls (about 24 meatballs) and arrange on a wire rack over a foil-lined baking sheet.
- 2
Bake at 425°F for 15–18 minutes until browned all over and an instant-read thermometer reads 160°F. While meatballs bake, combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, butter, and rice vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat; simmer 4–5 minutes until the sauce thickens to a glaze consistency.
- 3
Transfer hot meatballs to a large bowl and pour the honey-hot sauce glaze over them; toss until every meatball is deeply coated and glistening. Pile into a serving dish, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, and serve with toothpicks as an appetizer or over rice as a main.
