- 14 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin on
- 23 tablespoons honey
- 33 tablespoons soy sauce
- 41 tablespoon sesame oil
- 54 cloves garlic, minced
- 61 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 71 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 81 tablespoon olive oil
- 9Salt and black pepper to taste
- 10Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
- 11Cooked jasmine rice for serving
Instructions
- 1
Pat 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each) completely dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper. In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons honey, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 4 cloves minced garlic, 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger, and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar to create the glaze.
- 2
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place the salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and cook without moving them for about 4 minutes until a golden crust forms and the salmon releases easily from the pan.
- 3
Carefully flip the salmon fillets to skin-side down, then pour the honey garlic glaze over the salmon in the pan. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon every minute until the glaze thickens and caramelizes.
- 4
Check the internal temperature of the salmon; it should reach 125°F (52°C) for medium or 145°F (63°C) for fully cooked. Once done, remove the skillet from heat.
- 5
Serve the glazed salmon over cooked jasmine rice, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
