- 11 lb ground lamb or beef
- 21 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 32 tbsp vegetable oil
- 41 large onion, finely diced
- 53 cloves garlic, minced
- 61 inch ginger, grated
- 72 medium tomatoes, diced
- 81 tsp cumin powder
- 91 tsp ground coriander
- 101/2 tsp turmeric
- 111 tsp garam masala
- 121/2 tsp chili powder

Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes.

Add garlic and ginger, stir for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add ground meat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.

Add cumin, coriander, turmeric, and chili powder. Stir for 1 minute to toast the spices.

Add diced tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes until they break down into the meat.

Add green peas and 1/4 cup water. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until peas are tender and sauce is thick.

Stir in garam masala and season with salt. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with hot rotis, naan, or over steamed rice.
